AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIA PAM), is the fund management arm of AIA Bhd, one of the two life insurance companies awarded the Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) licence by the Securities Commission Malaysia. AIA PAM launched four PRS funds on 16 May 2013 to further augment AIA Bhd’s comprehensive suite of products that aims to provide for the protection, savings and retirement needs of its over 2.6 million individual life and employee benefits customers. As at 30 June 2013, AIA PAM had a paid-up capital of RM28 million.

Investment Objective The fund seeks to provide returns through a combination of income* and capital growth from a portfolio that is consistent with Shariah principles.

*Income will be reinvested in additional units in the fund.

Fund Category Balanced.
Investment Strategy The Fund will invest in a Shariah-compliant portfolio comprising equities with potential for growth and equities that are trading below their fair value.

The Fund will also invest at least 40% of its net asset value (“NAV”) in Sukuk and Islamic money market instruments with a minimum credit rating of “BBB3” or “P2” by RAM or equivalent rating by MARC.

The Fund will only invest locally.

Investment Objective The Fund seeks to provide returns through capital growth by investing in Shariah-compliant securities predominantly in the global markets.
Fund Category Growth.
Investment Strategy The Fund will invest at least 60% to 90% of its NAV in Shariah-compliant equities including Islamic collective investment schemes. #

The Fund will also invest at least 10% of its NAV in Sukuk, Islamic deposit and/or Islamic money market instruments. #

The Fund will invest in local and foreign markets.

# If in the opinion of the PRS Provider, it is necessary to preserve the volume of equities held by the Fund, the PRS Provider may adopt a temporary defensive strategy during adverse market conditions by reducing the Fund’s Shariah-compliant equity exposure to an amount below 60% and raising its level of investments in Sukuk, Islamic deposit and/or Islamic money market instruments for a period no longer than 6 months.

*Income will be reinvested in additional Units in the Fund.

Fund Category Non-Core (Mixed Assets).
Investment Strategy The Fund will invest between 20% and 80% of its NAV in equities, including collective investment schemes and between 20% and 80% of its NAV in local fixed income instruments, money market instruments and/or deposits with financial institutions.

The Fund will invest in local and foreign markets.

Note: The PRS Provider reserves the right to waive or reduce the sales charge from time to time at its absolute discretion. Members may also negotiate for a lower sales charge. All sales charges will be rounded up to two (2) decimal places

Redemption charge Nil.
Switching fee (between funds in this Scheme) No charges for the first two (2) switches in each calendar year. RM25 will be imposed for all subsequent switches after the first two (2) switches in each calendar year
Transfer fee (to another PRS provider) RM25 for each transfer request.
Annual management fee Up to 1.50% per annum of the NAV of the Fund. Up to 1.80% per annum of the NAV of the Fund.
Annual scheme trustee fee 0.04% per annum of the NAV of the fund
Annual PPA administration fee 0.04% per annum of the NAV of the fund
