Syed Hamadah Syed Othman was appointed as a Board Member of Private Pension Administrator Malaysia on 15 March 2022.

Hamadah is a director and partner at Actuarial Partners Consulting Sdn Bhd. He has more than 25 years of experience in pension, social security and employee benefits. He specialises in consulting multinationals and local organisations on pension design, funding, pension accounting, mergers and acquisitions.

His experience includes being a member of the international consulting team on the review of pension, social security and healthcare financing in Malaysia. His expertise was sought to advise on the financial sustainability of pension and social security funds, review of retirement benefit schemes and asset liability management.

Hamadah was Chief Executive Officer of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) from 2018 to 2020, an agency responsible to manage and invest the government pension fund for the long term benefits of the government pensioners.

Hamadah is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Malaysia. He graduated with BSc (Honors) in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh in 1994.
